Mardy's Note, 2015. The difference from my perspective at the time of the Newtown story and now is I'd have titled this with 'allegedly' before 'died'. Please see the end of the thread for my update 77 weeks after the 'events occurred'. I'm very pleased that the action I took when the country was dumbfounded by the shocking story was to have this topic on the website by 4 pm the next day and that I was looking at mental health as the issue. This was prompted by a question posed by a facebook friend related to having a little 'adult beverage' enjoyment and staying compliant with gluten. Please don't shoot the messenger, but I just saw this on Laura Vanderhye's wall (who I turn to for 'funny' material at times. I think since it's the first days back for people after a 3 day weekend with holiday and all the eating and enjoyment that came with, it's best we all just ease into the week and realize it's the last week of 2009 and maybe not expect too much from ourselves. What do you think? I know I thoroughly enjoyed the food for the last four days and having the opportunity to spend time with family. I've just been reviewing what few entries we've had in the Forum area at Lumigrate.com over the holiday -- was glad to see people were occupied! read more »

Food Allergies - Our Experiences
I'm establishing two areas about food allergies for now, this one and "Food Allergy Cooking - Recipes" (so please deposit recipes in THAT area). This is intended as a place for those of us who have found our way to learning about food allergies to talk about it. How did we figure it out? How do we deal with it? And then if we have a recipe, say 'I'll put that recipe for air cake over there in the "Food Allergy Cooking - Recipes" section here at Lumigrate.com. (Grins). read more »

I'm establishing two areas for starters here in the Nutrition area of the Forums on Lumigrate.com.
This one is for Recipes and Cooking tips, etc. The other is "Food Allergies - Our Experiences", which is a place for all of us to record (or others to read) how we found out about our food allergies, our processing of that, and what we've learned. How do we cope? What happens when we aren't coping? Etc.... The more you contribute, the better it is for ALL! read more »
