Food Allergy Cooking - Recipes

I'm establishing two areas for starters here in the Nutrition area of the Forums on Lumigrate.com.
This one is for Recipes and Cooking tips, etc. The other is "Food Allergies - Our Experiences", which is a place for all of us to record (or others to read) how we found out about our food allergies, our processing of that, and what we've learned. How do we cope? What happens when we aren't coping? Etc.... The more you contribute, the better it is for ALL!
There are TWO videos I wanted to produce for the launch of Lumigrate.com and this is why.
One is Dr. Christopher Lepisto (naturopath)'s "Food Allergies and Sensitivities" because you can, for $20 anywhere in the world get a video AND handouts emailed to you that you can watch the full hour long video seminar and be as close to being lucky enough to be his patient as I am.... with diligence you can actually identify your allergies for $0 in testing, it's just easier if you have access to the testing (and the $400 for the testing). (And to be honest, I think it's more accurate to do elimination, it just is time consuming and takes a lot of effort and ... diligence, which is hard to do realistically).
AND for those of us who then know what we need to do with eating differently (or exercising, or stopping or starting any new 'habit') Dr. Paula King (psychologist) was kind enough to contribute her time to record 'Strategies for Lasting Change' which has a cool handwriting exercise that shows why it's so HARD to take on a new habit, and then gives us a full on 'guided imagery' exercise! Again, for $20, anyone in the world can download a video and powerpoint of what she says in the seminar. All videos are set up to not have any time limit or 'watch limit' on them... you can watch them a million times for 100 years! Show others! Maybe charge $1 admission for everyone and recoup your $20! My concept with Lumigrate.com is different: we don't have advertisers. It's like milk: you want a bottle, it's a charge for the production, and we're charging a low price ... the cost of going to a movie! And it's your HEALTH. We also hope that the public will call up, write, or email their health care providers and say 'please look at this website and download this video, as I think it describes what I might want YOUR help with.'

IF you are inclined to watch these videos but cannot afford the $20 or do not chose to spend $20 in this manner, I am going to make available a limited # of coupon codes to those who email me. I ask that everyone watch the 20 minute ALWAYS free to download video by Dr Lepisto on Full Barrel Syndrome/Chronic Illness, as it is basically the 'foundation' of understanding anything we're teaching on Lumigrate.com. Then simply write a little review about it in the Forum area about videos so that others might be pouring over that area of Lumigrate in the future and be inspired to channel some of their time and energy into downloading and watching the full barrel video instead of doing something else.
I believe Lumigrate has an amazing cache of information and our biggest issue right now is that there are a million websites out there and everyone is blogging and doing facebook pages --- so it's caused a 'dilution' in a sense, but nobody else out there with fibromyalgia has made the kind of commitment of money, time, and energy that I have, and that includes assembling an amazing team of people who write regularly, are contributing to the podcasts being scheduled right now, and naturally the videos. One of my close friends yesterday was surprised to find out the time involved in making a video -- 10 minutes of time per minute of recorded time. So an hour video took 10 hours of editing time. And the people didn't just fly into the studio without a lot of preparation and scheduling and THOUGHT to what videos we should have on Lumigrate.com.
I'm going to be honest here -- it's frustrating to know I've cared enough about people's health and their getting complete information and they don't want to take an hour to watch. In some cases it's a matter that their equipment isn't new enough and it will require favors or steps such as asking their library to download them to their computers and watch them there. So I'm wanting to make SURE that anyone who wants to learn about food allergies isn't limited by the $20 cost. And this is my solution.
