estrogen
I so very much sympathized today with someone who is struggling with heavy menstrual periods, something that has occurred with middle age. I really wanted to have some solutions here because five years ago RIGHT NOW I had just started into a cycle of kidney infections and treatments, investigations and remediations which went on for months and years. In my case I lost productivity at work which translates into los read more »

I saw in the Free Press last week that Dr. Rollins had done a really wonderful writeup in the Health section his IMC provides content for and today I was referring to it when talking with a local medical provider and figured 'if I needed this once, I'm going to need it again', so am setting this up as a link. I encourage people to take a minute to click on it and follow and consider reading the article as it's a very good overview on the subject, no matter where you live. read more »
For 20 years, I have treated aging women with bioidentical estrogens (mostly estriol and estradiol), and have seen excellent results in brain function. I tell all my patients that estrogens prevent dementias such as Alzheimer's disease in women, and testosterone prevents it in men.

Third Anniversary of Hysterectomy Hassles

I thought it was pretty neat that three years to the day that I had surgery in the osteopathic hospital in Grand Junction (performed by an MD, however, a really wonderful OB-GYN who I am glad to say I haven't had to see for a while, though I miss his FUN way of treating patients), I was having someone wor read more »

Hypothyroidism: Misunderstood, Misdiagnosed, Missed! by Dr. Scott Rollins
Mardy's Thoughts: Hypothyroidism has recently become a very popular topic. Oprah Winfrey discussed the frustrations of her diagnosis on her first show of 2009. By doing so, she brought attention to this under-diagnosed chronic health condition, and the difficulties she experienced when several physicians were unable to identify the issue. read more »
