I wanted to post a conversation I had back/forth on the Lumigrate:Fibromyalgia Facebook page today (removing identifying information such as name) which was the result of a link I posted of the NEW piece posted last night from a chiropractor in my 'home' town of Grand Junction, Colorado related to drinking water having flouride added to it or not -- quite a debate in the general sector and not at all debated in the alternative/conventional medicine world, which is naturally what Lumigrate.com 'is about' is functional medicine -- find the underlying CAUSE of illness and remove the reaso read more »
Fibromyalgia: Our Definition and Treatment Strategies at Renewed Vitality
Maintaining the health of the urinary tract, or knowing how to manage a problem such as infection, is a popular topic for many women (and men), including those with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome in particular due to the increased incidence of infection that is part of these conditions. This is also something which increases in frequency with increased age and I'm looking forward to having some progressive, valid, streamlined and FUN information on that here at Lumigrate. read more »

This question came up recently after I became concerned when one of my long-ago patients who has fibromyalgia was MIA on the Internet, so I called to check in and hope everything was okay and it was a computer malfunction. Nope, it was a hand malfunction -- seems she had injured her right wrist/hand/forearm in an interesting 'cumulative trauma' way. read more »

Mardy's Note, July 2011 - I was adding new information to this forum/area of Lumigrate and checked to see if the links still work, below as I don't want anyone 'dead ending' and wasting time. It appears the links to Deirdre's website to listen to this seminar are working and the link to the overall RollinsHealth website Dr Rollins promoted as part of this in January 2011 takes you to a that website, but nothing's been added to it for content and it's six months later SO that's essentially looking like an idea that didn't get off the ground as of yet. read more »

I was so pleased to have my copy of Deirdre Rawlings' outstanding book Food that Helps Win the Battle Against Fibromyalgia with me recently when my sister said "I need to get out my cookbooks and get some inspiration." This was brought on because our dad, who is in what I call 'the home stretch of life' was trying to figure out what he might eat differently to get better results for what is 'paining him' and making his joints malfunction. I believe he had undiagnosed / misdiagnosed fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue issues basically his who read more »
Sleep.........zzzzzzzz!
Sleep is one of the key components for repairing Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It is so important to address this issue or the patient will never really recover.
I have a questionnaire that I use to cover the topics with my patients at the clinic, but I'll read more »
