Mardy's Note: In 2010 I copied the most popular blogs over to be also in the forums, as there were so many blogs it was difficult to find the information on a particular topic. Within a year, 1,000 people had read this here in the bioidentical hormones forum. Lumigrate's path has been to venture out from being part of the formative time of the IMC referred to below, but these seminars presumably still go on and the information from the seminar I attended (more than once) continues to be a resource for those following Lumigrate as we now are including new resources related to bioidentical hormones. This topic is so popular here in western Colorado that Dr. Rollins' seminar tonight is going to be full, full, full and they are fun, fun, fun to attend because of his friendly and professional style. The seminar announcement is informative, including his background information and if you follow the link, his website has a lot of information which you might find helpful for learning about this topic or others from an integrative medicine perspective! Dr. Rollins' seminar includes a preface about his background and education, as follows. He has been studying and prescribing Bioidentical Hormones for 15 years with thousands of patients and he is the only physician in Western Colorado Board-Certified with the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine.
Dr. Rollins is the first medical doctor in western Colorado board certified with the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. In order to bring this expertise to western Colorado, he brought together a group of progressive providers in Grand Junction to form the Integrative Medicine Center of Western Colorado, of which he is Medical Director. Dr. Rollins has always had an interest in real preventative medicine, anti-aging and integrative medicine. He has been studying and prescribing bioidentical hormones for over a decade, most recently through his business AdvantAge Integrative Medicine. He makes the use of supplements and nutrition part of his regular practice as well, and is helping to educate people about these important concepts. Dr. Rollins is also board certified with the American Board of Family Practice and has been certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support. With these certifications and years of experience in his rural practice in Collbran, CO since 1994, he is qualified in managing most all routine medical issues as well as handling serious medical emergencies, fractures, and lacerations. A decrease in production of hormones begins in middle age and continues to diminish in a linear fashion until old age. Hormone deficiencies affect every cell in the body and result in degenerative changes and aging. Bringing hormone levels back to a youthful level reverses many of the unfavorable effects that begin to appear as we age.
As a society, we have begun to change our thinking that it is normal to deteriorate with age, and therefore acceptable. It is now possible to stop much of the undesirable aspects of aging as well as the symptoms and diseases associated with aging.
