ACE
I wanted to set a link up to this blog from early 2010, which has a good response from a Lumigrate customer/follower, which had good reader #s and also has good links out to other sources of information.

Here is a wonderful message I received after someone disclosed their history/'story' to me, and I requested putting it in the FMS Story forum. I hope you read it and find it as interesting and 'GRATE' as I do!
Hi Mardy,
Sorry it has taken me a while to reply. I have been inundated and I wanted to give myself the time needed to understand what Lumigrate has to offer those of us who have, if lucky, received a diagnosis of FMS, CFS or related conditions and the many who fit the criteria but have gone undiagnosed. read more »

I picked up a copy of the "Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) Questionnaire: Finding your ACE Score" handout when Chris and Cheryl Young of Behavioral Health and Wellness in Grand Junction (Colorado, USA) were displaying a poster at last week's Integrated Care Council of Mesa County mixer and presentation. read more »

Integrative Care and the GRATEness of Grand Junction, Colorado; Lumigrate's Bringing it to YOU, WITH You!
"Thank you for inviting me to Grand Junction. There is more promising and inspiring care related to integrated care here than anywhere in the nation." This was the first of MANY "note-worthy" things Dr Frank de Gruy of Denver's CU Med Center (University of Colorado) said last night. I will share the entire presentation with you in the near future here at Lumigrate because it is my 'responsibility' on many levels, including spiritually, to 'get the word out to to all who are represented in the model. read more »

He worked at everything, even at having fun. Hikes or walks on the flatlands were monitored for how many miles per hour, ski runs were evaluated on the way back up on the lift, people were evaluated after parting from spending time together. read more »

This is from a blog I posted in February of 2010 which I wanted to copy and place here where it might be seen by people becoming educated about fibromyalgia. Since most people who have FMS have a history of adverse childhood experiences (trauma in childhood), this is very important to be included here. Dr. Young and Cheryl Young, who I have heard present on this topic about three times now and who have themselves seen Dr. Perry presesent on this topic are very valid allopathic practitioners and they do their research and support it with their references. And I know Dr. read more »
Adverse Childhood Experiences: Today and Forever's Effects on Health
I'm very much looking forward to the continuing education at our local 'big hospital', St Mary's, today. The topic is 'Child Abuse' and I hope to see Chris and Cheryl Young there, since that is 'her thing'. Just over two years ago, she was scheduled to present at the Fibromyalgia Forum we held in 'our building' where we saw patients two floors apart yet managed to communicate effectively due to my willingness and time availability to run up the stairs or take the elevator up to catch them. Suffice it to say that her powerpoint presentation on Adverse Childhood read more »
