Create Coherence of the Heart, Brain, and Nervous System for Improved Health and Cognitive Function

February is heart month, and a perfect time to write about HeartMath®. It's about hearts and flowers, perhaps, for your loved one, and about a focus on heart health, and it is the inspiration for these thoughts about heart-felt health.

Dr. Paula King Using a Lemon to Show Power of Mind

The power of the mind was brilliantly and quickly shown to me with 'the lemon exercise' in the late 1990s when going to work for an innovative driving rehabilitation program. The owner had been a top-rated/ winning race car driver who had gotten into some 'outside the box stuff' to increase his performance and he attributed it whole-heartedly to his successes in racing. Our TWO Psychologists and their TWO Videos for YOU!

Dr. Chris Young (who co-created the YOU model you see on the home page of Lumigrate.com and has a long history of expertise as a chronic pain management and mild head injury/chronic illness specialist)

and Dr. Paula King (who is a guided imagery specialist and health coach)  read more »

"Change Is Hard": How to Succeed

For those of us who then know what we need to do with eating differently (or exercising, or stopping or starting any new 'habit') Dr. Paula King (psychologist) was generous to contribute her time to record 'Strategies for Lasting Change' which has a cool handwriting exercise that shows why it's so HARD to take on a new habit, and then gives us a full on 'guided imagery' exercise!  For $20, anyone in the world can download a video and powerpoint of what she says in the seminar.  All videos are set up to not have any time limit or 'watch limit' on them...  read more »
