Here is a great little video from 2011 taking about six minutes of time to watch about thyroid disorders on ABC News' website of Good Morning America Health interview with Dr. Kent Holtorf. I thought it would be of benefit to mention here.
This is about tips to identify and treat and discusses the symptoms of fatigue, decreased ability to lose weight, depressed mood, depressed cognitive functioning/"brain fog", and hair loss.
It has been GRATE to have the dialogue on the topic in this forum about the various forms of supplementation of thyroid hormone and thyroid support and I look forward to the continuing education we all receive from participating at Lumigrate. Thank you.

I wanted to put a link here to something in the fibromyalgia forum that Dr Spurlock provided related to thyroid as a case example and the way hopefull ALL physicians will approach similar cases related to thyroid disorder in a large number of patients which entails reverse T3 and free T3, he makes it very simple/clear:

This is a great overview at About.com by Dr Holtorf to add to your education. Remember, PRINTing and taking with you or getting it electronically or in paper form to your provider and asking if they'd consider getting on this bandwagon with you is an option to consider at the very least!
