Dear Yenta
I'm kicking off this section because Yenta's posted this in her Forum earlier today, and I've always thought of the woman as the definition of FUN. I remember the day last fall when the writer dropped into the facebook page for the first time that I recall saying "I don't do anything unless it is FUN and this site is FUN". So let's use this area to have FUN discussions with Yenta. Keep in mind she is an old lady, as she says, and we don't want to be burdening her with something that she can't 'put off until I'm feeling well and have time'. Maybe those of us who write here in this Topic can even start off by talking about how we handle our 'extra things we do for fun'. I know in the past when I volunteered for nonprofits for the arts I made it clear I'd come if I were feeling up to it but not to assign me anything that had a time structure to it. Typically the way things worked for me in the past was I was having good phases and not, so if I had a good day I'd get to the event for setup and be able to be there through tear down/cleanup OR I'd get to the event and realize it was just not my day, and then I'd excuse myself and leave. So I really give Yenta my blessing on always monitoring her energy levels and I trust that she knows how to balance all the aspects to her life and work in this new 'joy' of hers, writing for us. I think she's known that she's a performer at heart and I hope this format gives her an outlet for that which is going to 'reduce the burden of her body barrel' (of stresses, as in Full Barrel Syndrome video on Lumigrate) and not add to it. Because I KNOW what it's like to have a talent inside of you that's not having an outlet -- that too, is a stress. Finding our authentic selves and living that is "what it's all about, Yenta" (sung to the tune for Alphie, and I bet Yenta'll know THAT song!).
Anyone else? Just Comment below here and Yenta'll come back and check, we ALL can, and have a nice discussion here. Looking forward to it! Thanks Yenta, I need a Jewish mother!

Oy vey! Mardy bubbeleh, I'm kvelling! That means I'm overjoyed dawlink; that you think of me in this way. Who would've thought? So? When's the Bat Mitzvah? I'm joking, don't worry, dear.
It's true, though. At my age I have learned that if something isn't fun don't bother doing it. Or if you can't make it fun, don't bother with it. To be honest, I have yet to find something that I can't make fun. Managing my energy, that's another story. What with the weather here in Florida you would think we were up in the North but without the snow. Thank G-d I'm not shovelling anything. OK, I know what you're thinking, now stop that.
Just think of me as your Bubbie (Grandma). The one you can talk with about anything. Yes, dawlinks, anything. That's what helps keep me young, keeps my mind sharp, keeps me on (oh look a bunny rabbit)... where was I?
Come on kindeleh, try me out. Challenge the old lady, take me for a test drive (Ellen's son, Rubin, told me to put that in). It couldn't hurt!
Thank you again, Mardy dawlink!

Yenta Tellabenta is truly a 'creation' for outreach and education with Lumigrate.com through storytelling and reinforcement of key concepts related to body, mind, spirit. Written by a very talented and somewhat mysterious younger wise woman who found her way to Lumigrate the summer of 2009, we hope you enjoy having your own Yenta with us at Lumigrate. Yenta (meaning 'town gossip') can also be found and friended at facebook and regularly stops by, as able, to mingle at the Lumigrate fan pages (Lumigrate, and there are two for Lumigrate specific to fibromyalgia as well).
