I'm setting this area up for people who want to contribute their top picks for the best resources about fibromyalgia.  We have MANY people now looking to Lumigrate to light their pathway of information.  Please remember our key concepts here: Valid, Progressive, Streamlined (for instance on the blogs I put at most 3 links, but I chose them well).  My example of 'progressive' is we're not a site to talk about the food pyramid or RDA of vitamins and minerals -- that's old thinking.  But we also want the valid/solid new stuff.

You can insert a link .. there is the little 'hyperlink' symbol about 5 icons in from the right that is the blue circle with link underneath it ... click on it and a drop down will come for you to put the address, which is easily done if you just copy it from the actual site you are referencing.

We specifically have a request that inspired this 'topic area' from someone to get information to prove that fibromyalgia is related to injury and to stress as it relates to building a case for litigation purposes.  Thanks for everyone who is pitching in!

Contact Us comes to me, so please do if you have questions or comments. Lumigrate is "Lighting the Path to Health and Well-Being" for increasing numbers of people. Follow us on social networking sites such as: Twitter: http://twitter.com/lumigrate and Facebook. (There is my personal page and several Lumigrate pages. For those interested in "groovy" local education and networking for those uniquely talented LumiGRATE experts located in my own back yard, "LumiGRATE Groove of the Grand Valley" is a Facebook page to join. (Many who have joined are beyond our area but like to see the Groovy information! We not only have FUN, we are learning about other providers we can be referring patients to and 'wearing a groove' to each other's doors -- or websites/home offices!) By covering some of the things we do, including case examples, it reinforces the concepts at Lumigrate.com as well as making YOU feel that you're part of a community. Which you ARE at Lumigrate!

Re: Best Resources for Info on FMS

On WebMD, there is an online support group for people with fibro.  What I love is the FMily feeling and wellroundedness of the support.   Several of the members use supplements, some medications, some both.    So when a person has a question or concern, we can give our own stories to help guide (while always recommending they seek their doctor's guidance!).

One of the scariest parts of fibro is the "new" symptoms that suddenly show up.  So to be able to ask and have one or two say me too, it's such a relief.

And the overall vibe is positive, how can YOU manage fibro instead of letting fibro manage you.     Alot of the concepts here are ones that many of us use and recommend to "newbies".

Personally, I don't think you can get enough support when you have fibro, so having a site like this, filled with great information as well as support and a place like WebMD's board and the support there is just bonus!

Thanks Mardy!

Aimee
