I told Alan and Bill and the group on Monday that I'd set up an area of the website for their group to facilitate their communication.  So here it is!  I encourage people to also set up facebook fan pages (or some other company, but facebook is where it's at right now!) and realize this is something we're gladly doing as a community service and we don't want to have people angry at us if this is their only means of communicating with their groups and we have technical difficulties.

Please also read the topic here called 'What Happens in Grand Junction Doesn't STAY in Grand Junction" in order to hopefully get other groups around the country aware that they can utilize Lumigrate to post information about their group AND the group leaders can get information and ideas from each other as well.  I've put my experiences from 2-3 years ago with the successful (initially) Fibromyalgia Forum in hopes that others will read and be helped by my leadership experiences.  And people can Comment under what I've written --

There might be many groups in larger communities so the way it makes sense to 'pattern' this in the Lumigrate Forum areas is that under each health topic, such as CFS, there can be a kickoff topic that I set up, and basically I can just link them over to the CFS 'What Happens in Grand Junction ..." topic about group leadership so they can see what I and others have written.  Then each Topic is something that ends up with it's own 'link', which is very helpful in emailing, facebooking, and communicating where to find this.  But underneath each topic, those comments don't get their own link.

The challenge is to shepherd enough organization of information in the Forum layout so people can find things and let people have their part in making it 'organic' and their own, because it IS about YOU at Lumigrate.com.  So the way I've set this one up as the topic heading; country, state/region/ city, who it is for, when, where.

Then in the body we need to have who to contact -- And I'll let Alan and Bill take it from here with more details of how to reach them.

I will clarify, since someone went to the 'other' Holiday Inn,  the Holiday Inn Express behind the Starbucks and Black Bear Diner just west of Mesa Mall.  Nice room with pretty comfortable seats and a good setup for DVD and water's available... I like the location.  I do know that Dr. Daniel Longquist -- a chiropractor out on North around the furniture stores -- has a seminar area for up to 25 people with projector and he said he's receptive to having groups use his space for no charge but that they're seeing patients up until 6 so that was a bit early for him.  Nice of him, though! That's more central for people from downtown and Clifton.  And always keep in mind that sometimes groups can have stopping and starting overs on different days and different locations.  And even different leadership!

Remember, telling others what you know is the best way for word to travel!  Be part of the solution!
