AutoImmuneMom.com: Support and Education for Mothers with Autoimmune Conditions

I received this email and checked out if Gwen was overselling AutoImmuneMom.com, and she was not! It's a great site, and so I am creating a topic here to present what she sent me, and the links. Thank you, Gwen, for your involvement in education and outreach, naturally, but in particular for taking the time to contact me about this! One note up front: If you say you're in a 'battle' that's a powerful statement that translates into what goes on in your body, per the mind/body/spirit form of medicine that Lumigrate 'is about' (integrative medicine). I say the same about the word 'sufferer'.
Just my subtle shifting/education, so I thank Gwen in advance for setting me up to make that point here. ".... this is a unique educational site that offers fantastic support for mothers with autoimmune diseases ...." is my suggestion to compare -- how does that make you feel inside when you read it? I take this opportunity with Gwen and this request because they do have an INCREDIBLE site, and it has been appreciated by other educators in the past when I point out this aspect of word choice. If all the education websites out there shifted their words to be more 'healing' at the cellular/energetic level, what impact would that have? Just a thought, naturally there is no way to know.
"Battling" is an allopathic term, we've all heard about 'surviving' breast cancer, 'fighting' or 'battling' cancer ... and don't get me wrong, I know these are all challenges and we are often working hard at saving our lives or our quality of life. And back when I was young enough to have children, I thought often about how I cannot even imagine having a child or children, so I definitely support this concept, and it appears to me to be a fabulous website! Thanks again for letting me and therefore now "us all" know! ~~ Mardy
