Central Sensitivity Syndromes at About.com; Body/Pain, Mind/Behavioral --Tying Things Together Under an Umbrella

This is an excellent article that I want to encourage people to go to and read in it's entirely, particularly if you're looking for information about pain or any of the senses being hypersensitive -- touch, sound, smell/olfaction, light. This is very well written, reporting on the current thinking from allopathic medicine on the subject.    read more »

Air Kisses

Hello my dawlinks!  It's your Yenta.  My apologies for taking so long to write; three khevre (friends) have been struck with cancer and it's wounded me to the neshome (soul).  One very young lady is now in remission, I'm glad to report but weakened from her treatment of poisons.  read more »

Birthday Riches and Wishes

Hello my dawlinks!  It's your Yenta.  All kinds of things are upon us, The High Holy Days begin on the 16th of September with Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) and your Yenta's 81st birthday is on the 12th.  Turning 80 wasn't so terrible but 81?  Feh (poo)!  To tell the truth,  I never had trouble with the 0 parts, it's the 1s that give me tsores (trouble); 30 was good but 31 was difficult, 40 was fun but 41 was spent in bed farklemt (depressed), 50 was a blast, but 51, I was diagnosed with what is now called FMS  read more »

Is Fluoride Really Safe?

As a physician who deals mostly with patients with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, I deal with patients who have a multitude of underlying illnesses. Beyond the comments brought forth in the neighboring topic in this forum by Dr Jeff McCloskey, I have some issues with fluoride myself. (Found at www.lumigrate.com/forum/top-7-reasons-i-am-against-adding-fluoride-water-and-invite-others-join-me)

Injured Brains Respond to Hormone and Nutrition Supplementation

Brain injuries and diseases, as well as 'normal aging' and 'aging in place' are a primary factor for the majority of the clients I work with as a 'functional advisor and consultant' and 'health navigator', or 'concierge of health information', as I have come to say.  I utilize Lumigrate as my primary source of information to guide people, as they might look around and tell others they know who will look around, and essentially find a 'core of information' to follow out to in the links of the experts who provide information.  read more »

Fibromyalgia Network: US Based Resource for Education

I like many things about Fibromyalgia Network -- always have.  Most of all because they put forward the education and a nice graphic about the 'related conditions' or 'overlapping conditions'.  I'm setting the link up to that directly, below, along with the link to the home page.

For one thing, they clearly state they don't take money from the pharmaceutical industry.  I have a similar 'deal' with Lumigrate -- there have been people who wanted to financially support Lumigrate BUT an expectation inevitably comes for what might be expected in return.  read more »

FibroAction.org: One of the Top FM Websites for Info I've Seen (UK based)

One of my goals with Lumigrate is to STREAMLINE people's health education time/energy/money (resources) by finding valid (yet progressive) sources and posting about them here, preferably with the involvement of someone from the organization. I feel the FibroAction website is one of the best I have seen: While they are based in the UK, they utilize the American standards set for diagnosing and treating.  read more »

Sinus Infections "Treated" since 1995, "Solved" in 2004 and "Managed" Since

I thought it would be helpful to have a topic about my sinuses.  Not that it's the most 'entertaining' and 'pleasant' thing to write about, but it is something that comes up a lot with people.  Since many reading this might not know anything about me, I'll do an overall summary.   read more »

Here's a question I received on Facebook today which I wanted to turn into a new topic on Lumigrate.  read more »
