Lumigrate's 'cornerstone' is the You Model, which essentially is a form of collaborative care model. It was inspired by a model drawn out when I met in early 2005 with a rheumatologist when marketing to his office about my general occupational therapy services offered through an outpatient clinic. I later met with the psychologist in the building my office was in, and we came up with the You Model and went on to co-found and lead an education group for people with fibromyalgia, where it 'worked'. I created Lumigrate the next year in order to reach more people with this type of innovation.
I consult individually with people or teams related to what I call 'the occupation of health care'. Anything which occupies time is an 'occupation'; how one makes their money/"living" is 'vocation'. I have a degree in occupational therapy and many years experience being an OT, and maintain my NBCOT registration and do continuing education in order to do so. Once I created Lumigrate, which is about functional medicine and integrating new and old strategies and providers and mostly having YOU, the patient, be 'in the central power position' related to your health care team, I found that even what I do is 'integrating' OT with health education. Hence, I refer to myself as a "Functional Health Consultant", or "Health Concierge" 
. We literally 'peel the onion' layer by layer, or go digging around in the person's history and, over time, if it's necessary, uncover things that perhaps weren't seen or addressed correctly in the past. >>Mardy digging around

Who would you ideally like to have on your team?
Then start planning on how to get from where you are to where you need to be. More about that, later/separately.
