Cancer Prevention, Cancer Schmancer style!

Cancer seems to be all around us these days. I believe everyone knows that we ALL have cancer cells floating around in our bodies and our immune systems, more of then than not, take care of them! Cancer prevention, therefore, is important to learn about and where Lumigrate will focus at this time, 'treatment' is a whole entity unto itself left for another year perhaps for us to provide information about.
When it comes to the 'big months' for raising awareness about things, October is it for cancer, thanks to the marketing savvy of organizations raising funds for breast cancer in the past. In 2011, it was finally time to shift our awareness/education information to cancer for the first time since Lumigrate launched on the Internet in 2009, as so many of our followers/users/guests are women and Think Pink with breast cancer awareness month. So I went about exploring the many, many nonprofits out there related to breast cancer -- but I wanted something that was more 'for EVERYONE', men too -- that we could utilize for ALL cancers, including breast.
The organization and 'expert' I selected related to shine the Lumigrate light upon related to cancer is one that comes from a 'lifestyle' place related to PREVENTION, and uses HUMOR and makes it FUN. I posted a piece/article in the Forum about "lifestyle/big picture related to health" and provide the link to it here to catch people looking in this forum. Please go look, it's Fran Drescher's "Cancer Schmancer" and they do a REALLY good job with it! It was a FUN segment on Rosie that I report upon, and I throw in my experience with "Skip and Go Nakeds", a drink they served on the show (made with PINK lemonade ... ). How FUN (but I hope it was colored with a red juice like cranberry and not artificial colorings!) Drink up, and have some FUN ~~ Mardy
In December Naturopathic Doctor Christopher Lepisto posted on facebook a reminder and REALLY fun/good video he likes to use for promotion from the "Feel Your Boobies" folks.
