FMS
This is an excellent article that I want to encourage people to go to and read in it's entirely, particularly if you're looking for information about pain or any of the senses being hypersensitive -- touch, sound, smell/olfaction, light. This is very well written, reporting on the current thinking from allopathic medicine on the subject. read more »

I realized that many of the pieces most read in the forums here at Lumigrate related to fibromyalgia are pieces where I cover things I see and review and feel are worthy of posting: I strive to make Lumigrate's information be valid, include the progressive/CAM approaches (as they frequently are getting at the underlying causes and yield dramatic results for less money overall, typically), which streamlines people's searching online by having a source that brings a lot of GRATE providers and topics together in one place. read more »
Fibromyalgia: Our Definition and Treatment Strategies at Renewed Vitality
This seems so simple that I'd not written anything about it specifically but it came up twice last month -- the difference between "want to do" and "need to do" when it comes to people who have chronic illness and low energy or are spending lots of energy dealing with pain. read more »

My work as an occupational therapist for over a decade of hands-on experience, my years of being involved in communities and circles of people I know personally, and most recently the inter read more »

Lumigrate was formed out of my experiences having had FMS / chronic illness and lived the frustrations of the western, conventional medicine model (ConMed), and my belief that there was a need for quality, valid and progressive information done in a streamlined way that also made it FUN to come and be learing or teaching others. I have always been an advocate for my patients and lived by my ethics to do the right thing for them in addition to the things a medical worker has to do in order to make a profit for their employer. read more »

This book by Milton Hammerly, MD, with "Putting the total well-being of the patient back in the center of the health care universe" to me, has one of the BEST stories ever from my time seeing patients who had fibromyalgia. Remember what the home page model on Lumigrate.com is ... YOU in the center with the providers all around? read more »
