For anyone who is finding this forum and this topic, I encourage you to find the 'gut' forum, as well as a forum in the chronic fatigue/pain section that has a forum title that includes Dr Spurlock's name, as he provided fabulous overview information on a number of topics, and then the overall way he looks at how chronic illness occurs, which is the "load theory" model. That's simply 'the' starting point for anyone, well or unwell.  Here's the link: www.lumigrate.com/forum/are-you-loaded-what-i-see-causing-illnesses-soar-children-through-elderly

It is similar to the "full barrel syndrome" model which one of our initial (2008/9/10) providers, Christopher Lepisto, ND provided. In one you can think of an elevator getting loaded down with boxes as it goes up and down/ is moving, and it gets slower and isn't working well but gets the job done before it totally breaks. And then you have to unload more of the boxes than just the last thing that was added that 'broke the camel's back', so to speak. There's a 1 minute and 11 second video 'snippet' that explains it at our videos tab, and you'll see food allergies are mentioned specifically, as are chemicals and all the major things that contribute to bringing down wellness level. In the forums of Lumigrate, there is information on all three aspects of this study, below, which really ties things together. Genetically modified foods, glyphosate (which we have information showing when there's also aluminum involved with the organism, it's problematic) and the bacteria of the gut are things I've wanted our YOUsers to be very easy to find here in the forums. But this type of bacteria that is mentioned in this study is NEW to Lumigrate's content: clostridia, though they capitalize it as you can see. I've also added this onto a topic in the gut forum, Robin Thomas had created a topic in 2011 that was a perfect setup in terms of what she'd titled the topic thread and what she'd written about related to the intestines and overall wellness.

From OrganicConsumers dot org, which has outstanding information and a wide variety that has something for everyone, I found this article about the combination of modern day factors causing problems with the gut / intestines. The trifecta of antibiotics, GMO foods and glyphosate is being put under the proverbial microscope. Here's the link:

And this is what you'll find, with them saying it's a NEW STUDY

Gut Instinct

Close to 15 million Americans—and one in 13 kids—suffer from food allergies. Between 1997 and 2011, food allergies in kids rose by 50 percent. And more and more of those allergies are turning deadly.

A recent study blames the rise and severity of allergies on too little of a common gut bacteria, called Clostridia. Researchers found that Clostridia helps prevent leaky gut syndrome, a condition that allows allergens to enter the bloodstream whey they produce an immune response.

Why are so many people lacking enough Clostridia to prevent allergies in the first place?

Research points to a number of factors, including exposure to antibiotics early in life, consumption of GMO foods and that ever-present poison called glyphosate, the key ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup.
