hypothyroidism
Highly encourage people to follow this link and check out other topics in the forums at Lumigrate that have overlapping information; it's very difficult to decide which ONE area most people will be looking for something in and naturally we want to catch people in whatever areas they are looking/searching as that's what we're here for, to educate and help! ~~ Mardy

Gary, if someone is reading this Forum on Lumigrate related to hypothyroidism and have their 'interest piqued' and want to know what laboratory tests you'd recommend and how to do about that, please continue on. [This is forwarded from another topic in this forum started with a question about what is in T3/T4 compounded supplemental hormone capsules such as Mardy was taking this weekend when around someone who does not have fibromyalgia but is on Rx thyroid medication and was interested in MORE information than Mardy can provide!] read more »

Every day I record several popular shows which I think carry good content and know are popular with the public, particularly in the US, and pick and chose which ones require or deserve time spent each day. Today I really didn't have time, but I MADE TIME to watch Dr Oz because he had Dr Joseph Mercola on for a SECOND time. I'd watched (and likely covered here at Lumigrate.com) the first time, and also have spoken with an old friend who was in a weeklong course about Internet marketing with him and find him really fascinating. read more »

I posted this on my facebook recently and thought I'd share it with you here as well, so more people can see it here on Lumigrate in the future, in the hopes they find it and it helps them with this critical issue:
Many patients suffer from low thyroid hormone. They especially have issues with elevated Reverse T3 which blockades the receptor site preventing the Free T3 from doing its work. Most medical providers do not check for Reverse T3. Symptoms include read more »

Before Lumigrate.com was even 'live' on the Internet, we were working away putting together a complement of videos and creating a Lumigrate YouTube chanel. It's a very interesting guide of what's of interest to people looking on YouTube, because that differs from what people respond to on facebook. And we're always looking for what we can provide to give people the best valid, progressive, streamlined and FUN information about integrative health concepts. Here's the link if you want to go look! read more »

I attended the local hospital's medical CEU (continuing education unit) this week titled "Obstructive Sleep Apnea Across the Specialties", presented by local physician David Patz. I learned a lot from it and wanted to do a writeup about it and at least start the conversation and hopefully invite others who know about sleep and sleep apnea specifically to register as users and write here on Lumigrate. As with anything lately, new research is stretching what the experts previously believed, and it appe read more »
Jacob Teitelbaum, MD Has Come 'From Fatigued to Fantastic'
"Feed me now or I'll kill you!" got a round of laughter from the crowd listening to Jacob Teitelbaum, MD, or 'Dr. T'. It certainly hit home for me. He broke things down in a very entertaining way, to the "SHINE Protocol" -- sleep, hormones, infections, nutrition, exercise. read more »

For the Price of a Movie!... Circling the Wagons!
It's been really interesting to see what all has come our way recently. Lumigrate has reached out and made hundreds of new friends (and we're looking forward to that continuing!), some of which are really leaders in the health care community. The website is being recognized as valuable for progressive health seekers. We appreciate the people who stopped by and looked around, downloaded or ordered DVDs or took the time to write in the forum areas. We also are looking forward to continuing to foster collaborative relationships with top quality provider read more »

We're really looking forward to seeing what you all have to say in this forum. My thyroid condition was finally tested after I was told by my massage therapist about a mass on my neck. This is a great example of how the whole team you've chosen is important to YOU and your health management. My world turned around with the medication and treatment. We're intending these forum areas to be used as a positive place to come and share information, and I'm looking forward to seeing what YOU contribute! Mardy
