Healthy and "happy" things in your head are always good and desirable, right? I'd say so! I'm not really sure why the pineal gland was not a bigger topic in my formal education (occupational therapy, mid 1990s, Colorado State University and before that K-12 in the biggest school district in Colorado. The curriculum came in big boxes to the teachers and they were teaching what was mostly set up for them to educate us about.) I started hearing about it when I started talking to other medical professionals about fluoride and the effects fluoride has on the body. read more »

I am interested in this topic because of my son's personal health journey. We were drinking well water from before he was born through his third year. His pediatrician prescribed fluoride drops, and the ground water in our area was also naturally high in both fluoride and copper. At 18 months, he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. A few years later, he was diagnosed with Hashimotos' thyroiditis. His adrenals were also malfunctioning, resulting in a hyper-sensitive flight or fight reaction. read more »

As a physician who deals mostly with patients with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, I deal with patients who have a multitude of underlying illnesses. Beyond the comments brought forth in the neighboring topic in this forum by Dr Jeff McCloskey, I have some issues with fluoride myself. With so much evidence showing harmful effects of water fluoridation, or 'feeding fluoride' as I understand the utility industry calls it, its great to see much going on in Colorado, and beyond. The article last week in one of the local newspapers (link, below) related that Palisade, Colorado (USA) recently stopped the practice of adding it to the water supply which has some people debating if that is best, which has gotten me and others I know wanting to take action! read more »
