You may choose whatever name you wish to use, but since it does show in the Forums as the newest User, keeping it 'appropriate for all' is appreciated. If you are a professional with initials after your name you can put them but no punctuation. Example: Dr Pat Smith or Pat Smith MD. (It shows up better if you are a doctor of any kind to have that be Dr ---. In the signature you fill out (and can add a photo) the type of degree and your website and any other things you want to say can be added and easily modified in the future with any changes, which then changes all your posts retroactively. I'm opting after 2+ years to have the system generate passwords and go with requiring e-mail verification when you create an account and have to wait for my approval due to spammers. They're like vandals of the Internet. Thank you for taking the time to register and I'm sorry for the hoops, but they were creating a real mess on the forums and diverting my work time.
