Mineral Fusion "Happy" Hair/Skin Products, Available at Target, Natural Grocers and ....

Mineral Fusion is a company from Denver in my home state of Colorado making hair and skin care products, as well as the mineral makeup they began with in 2007.  I am 'getting behind' them here at Lumigrate.  It took me a long time to find shampoo and conditioner at the store which gave me the results I got from a famous 'natural' beauty salon/product.  By helping connect GRATE product information with those using Lumigrate for information about increasing their health through what they put on their hair and skin, I hope YOU will find your process is streamlined by using Lumigrate.  

Mineral Fusion promotes "Minerals with a Mission™" and supports a nonprofit they discuss and link to from their website.  I discovered them when shopping here in Grand Junction, Colorado at Natural Grocers/Vitamin Cottage, which is a company that started on the west side of Denver in the 1950s, not for from where I grew up a few years and decades later in the mountains west of town. The comedy show 'South Park' is basically where I grew up, co-creator Trey Parker is about 10 years 'behind me'.  So there are many things  that have come up and out from Colorado! 

I've had a link to since Lumigrate's day #1 to Vitamin Cottage/Natural Grocers, which is one of many businesses now carrying Mineral Fusion, because they have an online ordering component to their business, which allows them to provide products to Lumigrate's customers.  Target also carries their products, as does Kroger, but I don't know that all products are carried at all or any of these stores so you might have to do a little looking.  They're worth it, in my opinion.  There's a 'finder' at the Mineral Fusion website for a store near you, but I've purchased their products at a Kroger store in my community which is not included on the Finder, so you might find them in places YOU normally shop which are not yet on the list.  

Perhaps "Print" this and take it to your favorite store and ask if they'll carry it too! It might end up you're the first step to helping your community be healthier by having products of GRATE quality and, when used instead of other products with 'topical toxins', can reduce the incidence of illness.  (Or as we prefer to say 'increase wellness'.)

I have purchased and used just about all their products now and the only one that didn't work for me was the body wash, it seemed to be drying and make me itch.  I was surprised because I have really "loved" the shampoo and conditioner and used it exclusively since the first bottles I purchased.  

In the winter, when our skin tends to get really dry and itchy where I live in the high desert of the Colorado/Utah state border, I would do a final wash with a small amount of the facial wash on a nylon mesh towel I keep in the shower for washing my back.  There are also exfoliating gloves which also can be used before a shower to do 'skin brushing' (working out to in, or distal to central), which facilitates the lymph system.  It takes a little more time for your shower or bath, but I get a really good result from this combination.  

I then apply a small amount of coconut oil with another/dry nylon 'towel', which allows you to easily get "lotion" or oil on your back. I remember the first days of my life that I lived alone, discovering that I could rub lotion on the refrigerator and then rub against it -- and it didn't take me long to figure out a way to use a strip of fabric instead (the fridge was COLD metal!)

The products can be used very sparingly with good results, so I find them a good 'buy' - and that includes the cosmetics. The only thing I have not been able to find and try is their nail polish, Natural Grocers/Vitamin Cottage's body care manager told me that the company opted to not carry that product because there are some ingredients in them which are not good.  I appreciate that they look at these things and 'do the filtering' and set the bar where they do.

And I've had someone knowledgeable compare what's in the SPF 40 facial moisturizer to what is in a product recommended and purchased from the dermatologist for $25, and she said the 'derm'-sold product had very similar ingredients but only an SPF of 20, so I was appreciated for bringing my enthusiasm for Mineral Fusion to them and making them aware of this similar and less costly product.   ~~ Mardy

I went to the Bed Bath and Beyond website and found the link for the Earth Therapeutics Exfoliating Hydro Towel -- I recommend purchasing two, one for the shower and one to use dry to get lotions and oils on your back, including things to protect the skin on the back from extensive sun/burning.  Again, remember that what you put IN you gets to your skin and what you put ON your skin gets into your body -- it works both ways, and treating the skin to appropriate topicals and treatments can boost the skin cells' wellness and resistance, as does what we eat and drink! www.bedbathandbeyond.com/search/search.aspx/Earth-Therapeutics-Exfoliating-Hydro-Towel/ [2] 

Earth Therapeutics also has 'exfoliating hydro gloves' which, again, I also recommend using dry as one would a skin brush.  Naturally, there are also skin brushes, and Natural Grocers is where I have obtained mine.  I've gotten Earth Therapeutics there as well, as I recall, but cannot find them at the Natural Grocers/Vitamin Cottage website.
