Our Team

Mardy Ross, Executive Director

Mardy Ross, Executive DirectorMardy Ross, OTR received her degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University in 1996. She has worked in many different arenas as an OT, but always believed that providing thorough education to patients in order to allow them to better understand and therefore treat their conditions was the key to their achieving their best level of function and well-being. Occupational therapy is the niche in health care which addresses anything that occupies a person's time: bathing, dressing, driving, etc.

Health care is an 'occupation' of all people, and Mardy's personal health issues combined with her professional path which led her to Grand Junction, Colorado in 2003 inspired her to begin a website which would allow people anywhere to access the progressive and sound medical providers and information she was receiving. Lumigrate is the result.

Thank you for your interest in Lumigrate and my story--I hope it helps you understand our company and its intentions. Best wishes, Mardy Ross, OTR.

Her creativity and sincere appreciation for Lumigrate's potential to positively effect change for people who utilize it's products is an invaluable contributor to Lumigrate.

Clara Britton, Business Manager

Clara BrittonClara joined Lumigrate in the winter of 2008, three years after she had returned to Grand Junction to be with family after an automobile crash. She had PT and OT--Mardy was her Occupational Therapist. Clara demonstrated her ability for management and health care in her rehabilitation process. She had studied in Las Vegas to become a pharmacist when she became a single parent and opted to streamline to Business Management in order to more rapidly be able to support her children.

In Clara's words:

The education I received in pharmaceuticals helped me better understand health issues that my family and friends have faced.

The knowledge has empowered me with the ability to communicate better with the staff of nurses and doctors that my family has seen over the years. In doing so, I feel that I have achieved the best level of function and well-being for my loved ones and myself.

I have been fortunate with the quality of care I have been around. My son was born prematurely with a lot of health issues. Those doctors were the first people to introduce to me "taking control of one's health". They not only treated my son with all the medical knowledge they shared but encouraged me to look at all avenues of health and well being to find what works for my son. Many years and thousands of questions later my son is 21 and is alive and wonderful.

As I have grown and taken on more responsibilities with larger companies I realize how quickly we fall from being good to ourselves. We must always listen to what we feel. Taking ownership of our health can lead to a fuller and more productive life. The idea of producing the seminars on a DVD or for dowload intrigued me. We can now watch and learn about our health at our convenience and schedule, due to our busy lifestyles.

I believe that through knowledge we can luminate our path to better health and well-being.

Best wishes for a healthier you.
